NOW SOLD.   This stylish English antique hall lantern/chandelier is beautifully proportioned and exudes elegance without being over fussy.

Perfect for a stylish country house or period city residence. This would look fabulous in a an entrance hall. hall, portico, or possibly even a kitchen- subject to ceiling height. Picture no. 3 shows the lamp in-situ within a hallway in a London apartment.

The lamp is of hexagonal design and features a triple lamp arrangement with original bevelled glass panes. It is well constructed out of solid, and cast brass and is of a generous weight. The lamp retains its original patination and has just received a light clean. The three lamp units take a bayonet style candle bulb and three original candle bulbs are included.

It is recommended that this lantern is fitted by a professional electrician to ensure safety and stability in installation. The lamp is not supplied with a chain, ceiling hook or rose and it will be up to the customer to source these easily obtainable items. Further advice on this can be sought from a good electrician.

Condition.

In fine antique condition with original patination. The original glass panes have some very minor wear in the form of small nibbles around the edge of the glass. This is purely due to the panes being removed and replaced for cleaning purposes over the years. This very minor wear is hardly worth mentioning and does not show up at all when the panes are in-situ. Each pane of glass rests in a retaining slot on the base of the lamp, with a further retaining screw at the top to keep them in place. Great care needs to be taken when removing and replacing the glass for cleaning, but this should only really be necessary every four years or so.
